Rocket Propelled Grenade System (RPGS)
The Rocket Propelled Grenade System (RPGS) provides the user with a unique training tool to engage any vehicle or aircraft with laser designation and a visual missile launch signature which launches toward the vehicle or aircraft. The RPGS can be used either on or off post to provide enhanced home station training for Air Defense Screens, Air Defense Umbrellas or Man Portable Air Defense (MANPAD) scenarios in Military Operations Urban Terrain / Reconnaissance Team (MOUT/RT) environments. A typical engagement consists of lasing the approaching vehicle or aircraft to produce a cockpit generated, LASER...LASER warning to the pilot. The RPGS operator will then trigger the firing of the Omega GF1.5 Stinger cartridge. The Omega GF1.5 Stinger missile signature creates no adverse conditions relative to the vehicle or aircraft safe operation.
